I dreamed my company name, logo, and concept. I mean it, it came to me in a dream. I woke up and knew what to call it and what it would look like. I’ve wanted to open my own practice since grad school. I’m proud to launch on 10/1/2020 after months of working from home and COVID-19 adaptations. I’m 100% virtual and do not plan to return to in-person sessions.

Rachel’s Bio
It all started at Earlham College. I was finishing my senior year and needed help. I found it at a psychologist’s office and, after a positive experience in counseling, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English and Music. After graduation, I tried a variety of jobs including working in the music industry, nannying a 2-year-old, and real estate management.
While living in Nashville, TN (after pursuing my music career) I decided it was time to go back to school and become a counselor myself. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University while working at Starbucks. I moved to Cincinnati in 2015 to complete my internship at Xavier University. The day after I completed my internship, I started working at Eating Recovery Center in Cincinnati. Working with eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and personality disorders for over 2 years allowed me to hone practical ways to help people make major changes in their lives.
I moved to Columbus in 2018 and worked in private practice at Affirmations Psychological Services for 2.5 years. My training with Equitas Health Institute and being surrounded by like-minded professionals allowed me to develop my passion for serving the LGBTQIA+ community.
I enjoy working with adults 18 and older and especially like helping people through phase-of-life changes like moving, transitions to new jobs, divorce, and graduations. I use an eclectic approach that includes evidence-based counseling techniques (CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, narrative therapy and exposure therapy), my own life experience, and humor to show my clients that change, while challenging, can be an opportunity to grow.
